Jessica and Jeff’s Engagement Connection Session in Lincoln Park

A few days ago, I was in a really wonderful mood. I met up with a friend and while talking to her, she started to seem unusually happy, too. I told her to stop it since it was making me embarassed, but she said she was just feeding off of my happiness and good energy. When shooting Jeff and Jessica’s connection session last week, I felt much the same way. Jessica and Jeff booked me for their Minneapolis wedding without meeting (a rarity, given the importance I place on consultations), but instead chose me after a referral from the lovely Ami at Elizabeth Anne Designs. When I finally met them for a little consult a few weeks ago, I knew we would get along fabulously, but was still looking forward to meeting them. At the session, I could just feel the happiness, togetherness and joy that they bring each other (who is embarassing who now?!), and it ended up being such an uplifting session for me to shoot. By the end I felt like I had come to know them both so much better, and also continued to feel so priviledged to somehow only end up working with couples that are both so kind and so genuinely happy to be together.
Jessica and Jeff live on the near north side and consequently enjoy spending a lot of time at the zoo in Lincoln Park. Unfortunately it was still a chilly spring day and many of the animals were still inside, but we had a wonderful time shooting in a place that held meaning to them. Here are a few of my favourites!
