Chicago winter engagement session :: Len + Melissa

Melissa emailed me probably about six months ago to chat about some sessions. She and Len are getting married in California later this year, but wanted to do a connection session in Chicago to reflect their new home. Being the brave souls that they are, they opted to do it in winter to provide some contrast to the warm beauty of their wedding destination. This couple is so sweet and we had a wonderful time braving the cold for some urban photos along with some wintry photos at the beach (probably my favourite time of the year to take pictures at the beach—no crowds, so still, beautiful colours).

I love all the pictures. My favorite has to be the kissing shot, behind the tree with the city skyline in the backdrop. Awesome!
