Prairie Productions Wedding Photos :: Sandra + Nate

I was shooting all over this winter and spring, so it was wonderful to kick off my Chicago weddings with Nate and Sandra’s incredible wedding at one of my favourite venues, Prairie Productions. Nate and Sandra also deserve a gold star, as they planned this wedding in about three months, start to finish, and really truly put together one of the best days with one of the best vendors. It was wonderful to get to know their kind and fun families and also see them looking so glamorous; Nate looked incredibly dapper in his suit and Sandra was beautiful in a Vera Wang gown accentuated with a beautiful assortment of gorgeous crystal pins in her modern updo and art deco earrings from Steve Quick. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful wedding!

Matt + Catherine :: Chicago Wedding Photographer at Prairie Productions

Matt and Catherine are an incredibly fun couple that I knew of for quite some time, but didn’t have the pleasure of meeting until a few months before their wedding. Matt is also a photographer that I have been aware of, and we both sold our fine art photographs at the design store zella brown in Wicker Park. Shooting a photographer’s wedding is both incredibly wonderful (know they make photos a priority) and also very nerve-wracking! I thankfully ended up having much more of the “wonderful” experience, with a beautiful wedding downtown at the Chicago Temple and a reception at the lovely Prairie Productions, with three hours (!) of photos around the city with their truly awesome wedding party. Thank you again for letting me photograph your lovely day!

Their wedding was the weekend of the air and water show, and I unfortunately had bad luck capturing any planes (too busy cowering in fear), but what a lovely day for it!

Beautiful necklaces from Erin Gallagher, who is also having a big sale this weekend.

Love this space! This is a great example of how a room with beautiful natural light can be decorated simply for a really wonderful impact.
